Craft brewer operating from previous premises of NZ Pump Company.
Brewaucracy, a brewery and tap room opened its door for sampling and tasting its craft brews earlier this year in the Hamilton premises that NZ Pump Company occupied until 2010.
Brewaucracy like so many other craft brewers in New Zealand and in many other locations around the world, uses Ezi-action® Drumpumps supplied by their cleaning chemical company.
As craft brewers move from small to commercially viable they have a need for safer dispensing of cleaning chemicals including per acetic acids from bulk containers and drums.
Craft brewing, cider and kombucha making are all growing rapidly.
Ezi-action® Drumpumps are helping in this rapid growth.

Craft Breweries across Australia, Pacific Islands, Singapore, Vietnam, China and New Zealand are enjoying the safety and hygiene benefits of the New Zealand made Ezi-action® Drumpumps.
Those in the craft brewery sector are using them to dispense from 20-30 litre containers and 200 litre drums of chemicals including sodium hydroxide, hydrogen peroxide, peracetic acid and chlorine based products.
Users are impressed with their performance and reliability in cleaning chemicals and sanitisers.
They recognise the benefits they offer over taps or tipping of cleaning chemicals including allowing the container to stay upright and thereby not leaking or risking worker injury.
The Ezi-action® Safety Measure Kit is also being used in the craft bewing sector as it enhances safety.
It is being used to dispense peracetic acid used as a sanitiser.
Ezi-action® Drumpumps are also being used to dispense propylene glycol for use in the brewery chillers.
Suppliers of cleaning chemicals to a craft brewery can supply Ezi-action® Drumpumps confident that they meet the highest standards.
What is a craft brewer?
While there is no official definition to some it is a beer that has been produced by an individual or individuals who know and love the subject, has the ability to choose and blend the many hop varieties and malts made from both barley, wheat and other grains that are found locally as well as from around the world.
One definition of a craft brewer is that it cannot be more than 25 per cent owned by a larger brewer, normally just a few enthusiasts who love and like beer. Reference.
ANZ's New Zealand Craft Beer Industry Insights report for 2016 showed total sales of craft beer were up 35 per cent on the previous year, with a number of breweries growing at rates substantially higher than the overall category. The report estimated craft beer now accounts for about 15 per cent of domestic beer sales up from nine per cent the year before, with 168 craft breweries in New Zealand last year.
