WHAT IS THE RIGHT HAND DRUM PUMP FOR YOU?

Drum pumps are used all over the world in a range of applications. There are many choices of manual or hand drum pumps on the market, from robust plastic through to steel & Teflon.

What Are You Going To Use a Plastic Hand Pump For?
Plastic pumps are made from different plastics. The better plastic pumps are made from polypropylene. But not all polypropylene is the same.
The high quality, robust polypropylene used to make Ezi-action® Drumpumps means they provide excellent chemical resistance and they have excellent impact resistance and performance at low temperatures (zero degrees celcius).

They will dispense many fluids including strong acids, (including urea also known as AdBlue, DEF and AUS32), alkali (including soaps), caustic and chlorine based chemicals, mild solvents, oils, diesel oil and liquid fertilizers.  Ezi-action® Drumpumps will give you chemical resistance and longevity.

New Zealand Pump Company is pleased to offer a chemical compatibility chart showing the resistant of the plastics used in the construction of Ezi-action® Drumpumps.

Do you need a pump that is safe for food manufacture?
Do you want a hand drum pump that will assure the purity of your cleaning chemical and meets the standards required for inputs into the manufacture of food and drinks?

If so, you will need to ensure that the product is made from FDA compliant materials and compliant with food hygiene regulations and manufactured under standards of best practice. You need to be confident that swarf ( bits of plastic) are removed during manufacture and that there is no risk that your liquid product could become contaminated during pumping.

Meeting the relevant standards for materials and articles that come into contact with food is important.

New Zealand Pump Company is the manufacturer of Ezi-action® Drumpumps in Hamilton, New Zealand and California, USA and we are proud to state where we manufacture.

New Zealand Pump Company is pleased to provide Declarations of Good Manufacturing Practice and Traceability in line with practices defined by European Commission Regulation (EC) 2023/2006 and European Regulations (EC) 1935/2004.

Ezi-action® Drumpumps are constructed from FDA approved polypropylene and LDPE.

Ezi-action® Drumpumps are Japanese Hygiene approved.

New Zealand Pump Company is pleased to provide support documents to confirm FDA compliance and Japanese Hygiene Approval.

Ezi-action® Drumpumps are manufactured to a very high level of workmanship and under best practice. They can be used with confidence in the food manufacturing industry.

Will The Pump Give Value For Money?
When you pay less you get less. This applies with plastic pumps as well.

The lower the cost of the plastic pump the poorer the quality of materials of construction and the poorer the quality of the assembly process.

Low cost pumps fail quicker. They need to be replaced often.

A lower price means less features so cannot be used where safety is important.

A lower price means lower quality materials and lower quality of construction so cannot be used with confidence where chemical purity or liquid food transfer is important.

Drums and barrels and containers have different thread configurations but lower priced plastic pumps usually come with only one threaded fitting.  That one fitting won't necessarily fit your drum.

Leakage and wastage are synonymous with lower priced plastic drum pumps.

Ezi-action® Drumpumps have been proven to last five years or more in a chemical that cheaper siphon pumps last for only 3 months. So over 5 years the Ezi-action® Drumpump works out to be cheaper.

Ezi-action® Drumpumps are supplied with the adaptor fittings that will secure the pump into your drum or container whatever the thread configuration.

This ensures all the contents can be emptied and it is much safer for the operator.  It also means that they don’t leak.

Further the fitting slides along the pump shaft so that the pump can be positioned on the base of the drum to remove all the drum contents. This means there is no wastage.

Unlike piston and rotary pumps Ezi-action® Drumpumps do not have O rings.  This means there are no parts to wear.

Unlike piston and rotary pumps Ezi-action® Drumpumps are fully serviceable. They are the only fully serviceable hand pump in the world. They provide years of use.

Is the Pump Easy To Use?
The idea of a hand drum pump is to make dispensing liquids a lot easier.

Pumping with an Ezi-action® Drumpump is easier. The name says it all. Easy.

There is no friction to be overcome during pumping. There are no O rings.

The Ezi-action® Drumpump pumps vertically with a smooth up and down stroke.

One hand over the ball handle is all that is needed to pump with an Ezi-action® Drumpump.

Ezi-action® Drumpumps will pump viscous liquids up to 8000 cps (liquid honey).

What About Safety?
Hand / manual drum pumps are used to make pumping chemicals safer. But not all pumps have safety features that work.

Ezi-action® Drumpumps are the first choice of multinational chemical companies around the world because they offer proven operator safety.

Not only do they secure safely into the the drum the ergonomic ball handle is secured onto the plunger shaft and the anti pumping / safety lock is proven effective.

The spigot on the safety strap locks the safety strap into place. You can be confident that unauthorized personnel will not be able to access the hazardous contents of the drum.

Because the Ezi-action® Drumpump pumps vertically there is no bending over and aggravating sore backs.
